Groups Group
activities abound at Cummings Cove
with the clubhouse being the hub of
most activities. Every month
something special is happening at
the clubhouse from seasonal parties
to sock hops and mystery “whodunit”
nights.
Men’s and ladies’ golf groups enjoy
lunches and dinners together as do
bridge groups with dinner bridge and
party bridge always a favorite. And,
of course, there’s duplicate bridge
for the serious bridge players.
There’s a card game for everybody at
Cummings Cove with groups meeting to
play hearts, spades, cribbage, etc.
The Social Center’s relaxed and
casual setting has become a favorite
spot for cards, and some groups
gather in private homes.
Several active book clubs meet
monthly to read and discuss selected
books. Anyone with an idea for
another book club is welcome to
organize one. A growing library in
the Social Center offers many good
choices for topics.
At the Sports Complex, men's and women's tennis groups are eager to welcome newcomers. Fitness classes include Pilates, Nia and water aerobics. Pool parties are also popular.
Within 15 minutes of Cummings Cove,
a world of possibilities awaits with
much to explore. A hiking group
meets monthly for a nearby adventure
in our many beautiful state and
national parks with amazing views,
waterfalls, flora and fauna. The
Lunch Bunch seeks out new dining
experiences with a long list of
restaurants in the surrounding
communities.
Each of these group activities is an
opportunity for people to get to
know each other and form lasting
friendships. Cummings Cove has been
praised as a warm and friendly
community by people who moved here
from other areas and found immediate
acceptance in this special place. |
